After a long day on the force, Alex returns home excitedly to see his daughter on her birthday. He enters his apartment building with a smile but as he arrives at his front door, it is evident something is wrong. Slowly, armed with a gun, he enters his apartment cautiously and is shocked. Everything wrecked and the babysitter lies dead on the lounge floor. After securing the premises and the heart breaking realization that all that is left of his family has just been taken away from him, he enters a state of rage and immediately takes action. Guided by his partner, Frank, Alex progresses in the investigation of finding who's responsible for his daughters disappearance - and when he eventually does, he is left distraught and confused.
